Luisella Germano
MASTER VOCAL COACH
Born in Turin, Italy, Luisella Germano, has most notably worked for many years as a Master Vocal Coach at the Vienna State Opera, responsible for the Italian repertoire, as well, she currently holds a collaborative pianist position in the department of vocal studies at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna, Austria.
Ms. Germano has held other prestigious positions including serving on the artistic staff at the Salzburg Opera Festival as a vocal coach and musical assistant, and working with Riccardo Muti as vocal coach and fortepiano player, presenting Mozart ‘s Le Nozze di Figaro during the Vienna State Opera’s Tour in Japan, as well as Così fan tutte at the Teatro di San Carlo, and at the Teatro Regio di Torino. She has also worked at the opera houses in Frankfurt, and in Nice, and regularly with the RAI Symphony National Orchestra as vocal coach and pianist.
Ms. Germano has worked alongside conductors such as Alain Altinoglu, Marco Armiliato, Semyon Bychkov, Jesus Lopez Cobos, James Conlon, Rafael Frühbeck de Burgos, Myung-Whun Chung, Christoph Eschenbach, Vladimir Ivanovič Fedoseev, Michele Mariotti, Riccardo Muti, Gianandrea Noseda, Juraj Valčuha, Zubin Mehta, Andrés Orozco-Estrada, Evelino Pidó, Pinchas Steinberg, and Jeffrey Tate.
Luisella Germano graduated with honors in piano at the Conservatorio Statale “G.Verdi” in Torino, with honors in vocal coaching from the highly prestigious Accademia del Teatro alla Scala in Milan, as well, she also specialized in chamber music with “Trio di Trieste” at the Accademia Ducale in Genoa.
