Premiere Opera Vocal Arts Institute (POVAI) is an international professional training and performance intensive in Southern Italy for advanced opera and classical musical theater artists. Founded and directed by Eric Margiore, Founder of the Premiere Opera Foundation and Premiere Artists, POVAI integrates master-level artistic and technical development, direct industry access, and fully staged productions with orchestra into one unified professional experience.
Designed for advanced undergraduate, conservatory-level, graduate, and emerging professional artists worldwide, the program provides a structured pathway into the Premiere artistic network and the broader international opera and musical theater industry. Exceptionally advanced pre-college artists may be considered by audition.

A Direct Professional Pathway Through the Premiere Artistic Network
POVAI is part of the Premiere artistic network, uniting advanced training, international competition, and professional management within a single platform.
Select artists may be invited directly to the Semi-Finals of the Premiere Opera Foundation International Vocal Competition, advancing beyond the preliminary stage.
All enrolled artists participate in formal private auditions for Premiere Artists Management and perform for invited international agents, managers, and casting directors, who attend both audition sessions and public performances.
